Kate is a mixed media artist based in Southwest London. After graduating with an MA from Central St Martin’s School of Art many years ago, she worked as an illustrator and freelance artist, with her illustrations being commissioned by both commercial and editorial clients.
After a long break from her art practice and having worked in other industries, she has recently returned to her art full time. She works from her home studio and also regularly paints still lives, figurative works and landscapes both in the studio and en plein air.
The work shows her inherent love of colour and shape and often takes an informal and playful approach to both process and subject matter. She now enjoys exhibiting and undertaking private commissions as well as running the occasional workshop.
